How credits work
What credits are, what videos cost, and how charging works.
VidNext is credit-based: you top up credits, and production work deducts them. Credits never expire.
What a video costs
The headline rate is about 50 credits per finished minute — calibrated to the real production cost of a video. Typical estimates:

VidNext Pro is the best-quality tier (recommended); Mini is faster and cheaper. The create page always shows a live estimate — "Est. cost: ~N credits" — before you generate, and your billing page shows your actual average cost per minute based on completed projects.
Costs include script generation, video analysis, narration, image generation, and rendering.
Things that change the estimate
- Your own TTS API key — connect your ElevenLabs key for 50% off the narration portion
- Custom script — supplying your own script skips script generation, lowering the estimate
- Non-English output — slightly higher than English
- Enhanced Fact-Check — adds a small surcharge for the extra web-search verification steps

The Billing page shows your balance and lifetime totals, and every charge is itemized in Transaction History with its exact cost and your running balance:

How charging works
Credits are reserved when generation starts and reconciled when it finishes. If the video costs less than estimated, the difference is released back; you only ever pay for the work actually performed — you can see the reservation and the reconcile as separate entries in your credit history:
The same applies to per-step redos — each redo bills only the new step's actual cost — and to aborted renders, which charge only the compute already used.
Smaller charges appear for optional extras, always shown before you commit: thumbnail variants (~5–8 credits each), YouTube metadata (~5–15 credits), video-reference analysis (~1–12 credits depending on length), and Gemini TTS voice tests beyond the free allowance (1 credit each). Failed generations aren't charged.
Concurrent generations
During beta, new accounts generate one video at a time; the limit grows automatically as your account's total credits grow. If you hit the cap, the app tells you — just wait for a running generation to finish.
